A Lafourche Parish correctional officer was arrested Thursday after alleged sexual contact with a juvenile, according to the sheriff’s office.
Luke Vizier, 26, of Cut Off, was booked into the Lafourche Parish Correctional Complex in Thibodaux on counts of sexual battery and indecent behavior with a juvenile, authorities said. The Sheriff’s Office received a complaint on June 26 alleging Vizier had engaged in illegal conduct with a juvenile in April 2023, about a year before he joined the agency, authorities said.
Vizier, who had worked as a correctional officer at the jail for around 15 months, was placed on administrative leave when the investigation began. He was taken into custody on Thursday and fired from his job. Bail was set at $150,000.
